This Wild Card Weekend was truly wild with the stressful finish to the Bills game, a big Rams upset, and the amazing Titans-Ravens game. Anyway, let's get into it.
Colts @ Bills
Bills: 27, Colts: 24
Well, this game was a nail-biter and had me going crazy. It was stressful, but my Bills got the win. The Colts played a fantastic game but, some things hurt them, like that 4th and goal and the missed field goal. The Bills didn't bring their A-game and the Colts had a great game plan so this was a more interesting matchup than expected. Though in the end, the Bills defense showed up and stopped the Colts on their potential game-winning drive. Josh Allen did step up too and helped the Bills get this win. Also, props to Gabe Davis and those smooth toe drag catches. Anyway, the Bills are facing Baltimore next week on Saturday night.
Rams @ Seahawks
Rams: 30, Seahawks: 20
The Rams had this game from the beginning when their defense set the tone with the pick-six by Darious Williams. Russel Wilson just did not have a good day, but you want to know who did. Cam Akers. He had 131 yards and a touchdown in this game. My guy, former Bill, Robert Woods also had a touchdown. Also good on Jarad Goff for toughing it out when he had to come in for John Wolford even with his thumb injury. He got the win and proved me wrong. We will have to see how they fare next week against the Packers.
Buccaneers @ WFT
Bucs: 31, WFT: 23
Now, I know that the Bucs won but let's talk about Washington. With Alex Smith out, QB Taylor Heinicke was in. And wow, I'm impressed. He kept them in the game and actually played well. I'm not impressed by the Bucs, they should have won this game by more, they were playing against a third or fourth-string QB. Either way, let's see what they can do next week vs some tougher competition.
Ravens @ Titans
Ravens: 20, Titans: 13
Like I said this game was a close one and it was great. It really came down to who played better, Lamar or Henry. And Lamar got this one. It did look like it was the Titans game in the first half, though. Baltimore is heading to Buffalo next week so let's see how they do there.
Bears @ Saints
Saints: 21, Bears: 9
This game went as expected with the Saints winning this one. It was slow though, the score staying 7 - 3 for awhile. With the Drew Brees retirement rumors, I was glad he got this win with their past playoff losing record. It could have been a completely different game if that touchdown pass was caught in the endzone. Anyway, can't wait to see the Brady-Brees match-up next week.
Browns @ Steelers
Browns: 48, Steelers: 37
Wow, and I thought the Steelers were going to win. Who knew they wouldn't show up to the stadium. I don't know what was happening. This game was over in the 1st quarter. The Browns' defense was good and the Steelers' offense was terrible. Then with the Browns running game on fire, this game was the Browns. We will have to see what happens when they face the Cheifs next week. That will be an interesting game. Also, side note, Juju needs to talk and dance less and play football more.
