Super Wild Card Weekend 2022

Super Wild Card Weekend

The playoffs are finally here and to start we have the Super Wild Card Weekend. The games this weekend are going to be very good and it's hard to say which way some of them will go. This year we have three days of football, two on Saturday, three on Sunday and one on Monday. Now, let's talk about the games.

AFC: Las Vegas Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals - 4:30 pm

This game is going to be a great way to kick off the playoffs, I am very excited for it. I know they may not be the favourites but I think the Raiders will win this. They are coming into the playoffs after a huge win against the Chargers and after all they’ve been through this year I think the Raiders will be sticking around in the playoffs for a little while. Though, to win, they have to get Josh Jacobs involved a lot to help get things moving on offence. Don’t get me wrong, the Bengals are a great team with Joe Burrow and their star rookie Ja’marr Chase but I think the Raiders are coming in hot and will upset the Bengals today.

Score Prediction

Raiders: 31, Bengals: 28

AFC: New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills - 8:15 pm

This is the game to watch this weekend as this will be the third meeting of these teams this season. Both these teams have won a game and lost a game against each other but overall I think the Bills have outplayed the Patriots. Yes, the Patriots won a game in Buffalo but that was primarily because of the weather. In the last meeting of the two teams, the Bills played tremendously, especially Josh Allen but the Patriots, other than their RB Harris, didn’t really do too much. That brings up the biggest factor in this game, Josh Allen. For the Patriots to win they need to find a way to stop Josh but I don’t think they will be able to do this, so the Bills get the win. Not to mention this is Mac Jones first playoff game and we don’t know how he will do under the pressure. I pick the Bills all day. Keep an eye out for Beasley and Mckenzie…I think they will feast today.

Score Prediction:

Bills: 34, Patriots: 24

NFC: Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 1:00 pm

As much as I love the Eagles, mainly because they beat Tom Brady, I don’t think they will be beating him again. Tampa Bay has too many stars and they will just overpower Philly. The Eagles definitely have a team that could beat the reigning Super Bowl champs if they keep the score low but I think the Bucs will get a lead and the Eagles will not be able to keep up. But with Sanders back I would watch out for an upset in Tampa, after all, the Eagles have beaten Tom Brady before. This will be a close one, watch out.

Score Prediction

Bucs: 30, Eagles: 21

NFC: San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys - 4:30 pm

I love the way the 49ers have been playing, they are yet another team that are coming in hot as an underdog and as good as Dallas seems I just don’t trust them, especially in the playoffs. Now, Dak is better than Garoppolo but I think the 49ers defence will break down the Dallas offence very easily and that should give them the advantage in the game. Keep an eye out for Deebo as I expect a big game from him.

Score Prediction

49ers: 21, Dallas: 17

AFC: Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs

In this game, I have to take the Chiefs, they just have such a powerful offence and I don’t know if the Steelers defence will be able to stop it, but if they can get some pressure on Mahomes with Watt, then this game could get very interesting. Still, I really don’t see the Steelers pulling an upset as the last time they played the Chiefs, they were crushed in Week 16. I got the Chiefs for this game but still expect the Steelers to keep it close.

Score Prediction

Chiefs: 30, Steelers: 24

Monday, January 17, 2022

NFC: Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams

Now, I don’t trust Matt Stafford very much but I trust him more than the Cardinals so I pick the Rams to win this game. The Cardinals have had a rough time lately and haven’t been playing very well, so I don’t have a lot of faith in them. The Rams defence will definitely be a big factor in this game and they will go after Murray which will cause some mistakes when he is under pressure. This will be a close game but overall I think the Cardinals have not been playing well lately and they will not be able to beat the Rams. Aaron Donald will be the difference maker in this one…and look for Ramsey to get his hands on a pass or 2 as well.

Score Prediction

Rams: 28, Cardinals, 21

I can't wait to see how these game play out...Go Bills!
