Season Preview + Bills @ Rams

It’s that time again! Bills football officially starts in 2 days and it is good to be back. I know every football fan says this every year but I truly believe that this could be our year. After an amazing off-season, the Bills have one of the best and most well-rounded rosters in the league, and this was proven in the preseason games. Our rookies look spectacular, Kaiir Elam, James Cook, Terrel Bernard and Christian Benford have been doing very well in games and practices. One rookie I am particularly loving is Khalil Shakir, he looks awesome and I can’t wait to see him catching touchdown passes from Josh this year. The rookies weren’t the only ones looking good during the preseason. In the one drive Josh played during the preseason he was 3/3 for 45 yards and had one touchdown. Not to mention, Gabe Davis looks like he is going to be a big problem for defenses while Von and Eddie are going to cause chaos for quarterbacks.

Now onto the season predictions. Personally, I don’t think there is a better team than the Bills at the moment so they very well could win every single game. That being said, I do think there are a couple of games that could potentially end in a loss for the Bills.

@ Rams - W

vs. Titans - W

@ Dolphins - W

@ Ravens - W

vs. Steelers - W

@ Chiefs - L

vs. Packers - L

@ Jets - W

vs. Vikings - W

vs. Browns - W

@ Lions - W

@ Patriots - L

vs. Jets - W

vs. Dolphins - W

@ Bears - W

@ Bengals - W

vs. Patriots - W

I think the Bills will end anywhere from 13-4 to 15-2. Of course, as a fan I believe all of these games are winnable, but in a long season you can’t expect them to be perfect every single game. I feel the Bills will learn from last year's Steelers game, and come out strong and ready to reclaim their AFC East title once again.

Now, onto the game this week. This is going to be a great game to open up the season. The Rams will be coming in on a victory high since they are starting their season at home after winning a Superbowl and I think the Bills will be able to use that to their advantage. Yes, the Rams won the Superbowl last year but their team has not necessarily improved this offseason. If anything the Rams have lost more than they have gained, specifically Von Miller who will get a chance to play against his old team on Thursday. On the other hand, the Bills have improved a lot and they will be coming into this game prepared and ready to face the Superbowl Champions. Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsay will cause some problems in this game but with our countless offensive weapons and the amazing game plan I’m sure McDermott has created, I think the Bills will have no problem driving down the field each time they have the ball. And when it comes to our defense, we have the best secondary (White’s absence aside) in the league so I think the Bills will be able to contain Cooper Kupp enough to cause the Rams offense to struggle a bit. When it comes to the quarterback comparison, I trust Allen a lot more than I trust Stafford. Josh has looked focused this off-season he will be able to make smart plays while going against this Rams defense. Stafford, on the other hand, will be pressured a lot by our D-line which will force him to make some risky throws that could result in turnovers. We all know that both these offenses move the ball well so it will come down to who applies the most pressure and creates turnovers. Personally, I pick the Bills in this game any day of the week. As great as the Rams are, I don’t think much will be able to stop Josh Allen and the Bills this season so I believe they will start off their season with a win.

Score Prediction:

Bills: 38, Rams: 31
